Learn Patterns: Educational Learning Game for Kids App Reviews

Love the fact that its customizable!

My son is 3 years old and really loved this game. The animal photos are something that he is really interested in right now. I love how this app will prepare him for reading and music- since both are dependent on pattern recognition.

I have all the grasshopper apps. They absolutely help educate your toddler.

As the pattern choices are random, usually the options only include one tile from the actual pattern...meaning regardless of the difficulty, you just need to pick the only animal thats in the pattern. A stupid flaw. So...want to complete the pattern...just pick the only animal that was actually in the original. Takes a kid about 3 mins to figure this out. Fix please.

This app has beautiful photographs of interesting animals.... But it is not really accurate in teaching patterns. The core of the df the pattern is often not obvious. The core is often not repeated... A requirement of patterns. I would love an update taking care of these problems.

My daughter is all into patterns at the moment. She can complete this fairly easily but it is great for her younger brother who has not grasped the concept yet. Easy to use and not too easy that it will pose a challenge. Great work Grasshopper Apps!

I use this app in my classroom. It is fantastic!

This game will appeal to my young grandchildren because of the ease of use, visual appeal, and positive reinforcement. Pattern difficulty can be adjusted to suit age and hints are available if needed to assist in identifying tiles. I have not yet tried recording my own names, but if this is like any of the developers other apps it will be a snap! Cant wait to see my two year old granddaughters to get their reactions!

Thanks for the fee app it works effectively and with great sensory feedback. Suggestion: to use patterns with other language concepts or pictured objects, not only animals. This recommendation is for the wonderful puzzle app as well. Thanks

This is a great app for kids! It teaches kids patterns and is great because you can choose the difficulty level. Great job Grasshopper!

This app is a good concept and great for young kids but the pictures are blurry, too small and not very colorful. In the patterns it would be better to have one brownish picture, then a brighter one for the pattern.

This is a great patterns app with lots of customizable features. But I have a few suggestions: 1. It would be nice to be able to download multiple libraries for the pattern creation. I know Grasshopper Apps has tons of pictures in their databases from other apps. Foods, numbers, letters, colors: it would be nice to be able to use all of these in one pattern app. 2. Allow user to add pictures and sounds to the library or to create a new picture library. I could only figure out how to edit the library items that were already installed. 3. Change your description that suggests this app gives tactile feedback. I dont think an iScreen can do that. In fact, this is the only reason iPads havent already taken over the world: they dont allow us to feel what were touching. Future generations will not know the difference between soft and hard, fuzzy and rough, cold and hot, dry and wet. Why touch anything real when its more fun to touch it on a screen?

Have not had a chance to use this app, but thanks for making it available and I am sure my 4 year old will love this game!

Great app for working on patterns. The app has a lot of flexibility from simple to more complex with good feedback for kids.

Really like this app for my kindergarteners? Please slow down the praise. It sounds echoey and goes right over the name of the animal. Otherwise, I love the idea of a patterns app!! Great assessment tool for K?

This is a great cognitive app. I would like to see more libraries added like shapes, flowers, food, etc which could all be mixed together to form more patterns.
